Alcoholic Spirit has been called Demon Drink and it’s the devil’s wretched counterfeit of God’s Holy Spirit. The Bible says, “Don’t get drunk with wine, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.” [Ephesians 5:18] The first Christians were so joyful, people thought they were drunk, but they were actually intoxicated with the Holy Spirit from heaven.
Demon Drink gives the drunkard a false joy. He drowns his sorrows in drink but they float again the next day alongside a hangover! But the Holy Spirit fills souls with the joy of the Lord giving them strength and wisdom to face life’s problems with a clear brain! [Nehemiah 8:10].
