Dr Who, the fictitious time lord, is back again! However, the real Lord of time is the Eternal God who inhabits the timeless zone that the Bible calls eternity. [ Isaiah 57:15 ]

The opening words of the Bible are, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” [ Genesis 1:1 ] Since it is impossible for the eternal God to have a beginning, it follows that God created the beginning of time. Time can therefore never hide anything from the One who knows the end from the beginning. This foreknowledge of God is clearly confirmed in the writings of the Hebrew prophets who through inspired revelations given to them by God were able to make hundreds of detailed predictions about the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus centuries before they happened! The probability of all these predictions coming true by chance is zero. But they did come true; thus making the evidence for the existence of the eternal God, the Lord of time, conclusive!

Apollo 15 astronaut James Irwin said, “God walking on the earth is more important than man walking on the moon.” When God walked on the earth in the person of Jesus Christ He showed He was the Lord of time by doing things in no time at all! Loaves and fishes were created in His hands immediately and 5000 fed! He spoke a word to the lame and they walked and even leaped immediately! The sick were healed immediately! The dead were raised immediately! Jesus was indeed the Lord of time not the slave of time.

With undeniable authority the Bible says, “Today (whilst you’ve got time) if you will hear His voice, do not harden your heart.” [ Hebrews 4:7 ] Turn from your sins now! Trust in the redeeming blood of Christ now! And be forgiven immediately!
