A man had no further use for his dog so he took it to a lake and threw it in. The poor animal kept trying to swim back to its master but each time the man hit it with his stick. In aiming one of these blows the man fell into the water and would have drowned had not his wounded dog barked until he was rescued. As the man regained consciousness on the grassy bank he felt his face being licked by his faithful dog who soon died of his wounds.
We are shocked by this cruelty to a dog yet many still crucify Christ. They even use His name as a swear word. Despite this He does forgive those who turn from their sins and trust Him as their Saviour.
