Have you ever been in the dog house because you forgot to send a birthday card?! There are many things we must remember but there are some we must forget! It grieves God and destroys our peace of mind if we keep harping on squabbles we’ve had with family and friends. Life is too short to harbour grievances that will torment us with regrets until it’s too late to enjoy forgiving and making up.
Joseph in the Bible was cruelly treated by his brothers but he named one of his sons Manasseh meaning God has made me forget. This reminded him to pray for strength to forgive and forget - which he did! [ Genesis 41:51 ]
