Baby was playing happily with a pair of sharp scissors so mum tried to replace them with something safer. Not surprisingly, baby was determined to hold on to the scissors so the episode ended in a flood of tears.
Babies don’t understand that their mothers are being kind, not cruel. Sadly many adults behave like babies and think that God is cruel instead of kind because He has allowed them to have certain painful troubles and trials.
