Our greatest and most precious commodity is time. Although we don’t know how much we’ve got we often spend it carelessly. We waste it, kill it, lose it, forget it and pass it away even though we know we can never get it back again.
Time was created by the eternal God so here’s a prayer for daily use, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” [Psalm 90 verse 12] A wise person knows that time is a gift from God so he prays for guidance to find out how He wants him to use it. We may go about doing good but good without God spells nothing. It’s essential that we do His will not our own.
