Dan’s most controversial statement is that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and that they had a child. Writing about AD60 the Apostle Paul said, “Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?” [1 Corinthians 9:5] If Jesus had been married surely Paul would have included Him in this list? Secondly, when Jesus was dying on the cross He made provision for His mother so that St. John took her to his own home. If He had a wife He would have undoubtedly made provision for her but there is no mention of this. [John 19:26,27]
