The inside measurement of our standard railway track is 1435mm with a tolerance of plus or minus 10mm. This means that a certain degree of tolerance is correct but there are limits beyond which it is dangerous to go. The Bible says, “If it is possible we should live peaceably with people.” [Romans 12:18] But we must always be careful not to be so tolerant that by our silence we allow someone to think something is right when it’s wrong.
God exercises a zero tolerance policy towards sin. Because heaven must never be defiled one sin will keep us out! Our only hope is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ who paid the penalty for our sins that we could never pay.
