A boy looking in a shop window saw this advert, “Have the best Christmas yet.” Looking at his friend he said, “It’s pretty hard to beat the first one!” We can go back to the first Christmas by reading the story of Jesus in the gospels. These describe His life from His cradle to His crucifixion and magnificent resurrection.
They warn us about hell but then show us that the way to heaven is by receiving the most wonderful Christmas present of all which is God’s gift of ‘Eternal Life.’ [Romans 6:23] The only condition is that we must turn from our sins and believe that on the cross He took the punishment I deserved.
