Grass is the most important plant on earth. At creation God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass.” [Genesis 1:11]
The Bible says, “All flesh is grass and all its loveliness like the flower of the field, the grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” [Isaiah 40:6] It’s true that all flesh is grass because when we eat bread, which is wheat, we eat grass! There’s no constituent in the human body that cannot be found in grass. We fade away, but God’s word never fades. There is a dynamic force in the seed of God’s Word that can impart eternal life!
