One of the most accurate accounts of a sea voyage and shipwreck 2000 years ago is in the Bible and it is a picture of us all as we sail across the sea of time. [See Acts chapter 27]
The Apostle Paul was the most important passenger because God had commanded him to go to Rome to proclaim the gospel to Caesar. We might think that God would have made the way easy but the Christian life is a bed of roses – there are plenty of thorns! Paul’s prayer and advice caused them all to arrive safely on a beach where two seas met.
One day our bodies that we have lived in across the sea of time will be wrecked but if we have Jesus as Saviour on board, He will guide us to the ocean of eternal bliss.
