Upon entering a house we may admire its design and furnishings but we seldom think about the invisible foundation which is the most important part of any building.
Jesus told a parable about 2 men. The first was a wise man who studied the art of building and built his house upon the rock. The second man was a lazy jerry-builder who built his house upon sand. When the rain poured down and the floods came up and the winds blew, his house on the sand collapsed. [Mathew 7:24-27]
If we build our lives on the words of Jesus He will put our feet on a rock, and a song in our mouth and lift us out of the mire into the choir! [See Psalm 40:1-3]
