“Flat Battery” is top of the AA list of 10 reasons for car breakdowns. When one of our daughters was little she would sometimes fling her arms around us and say, “My battery’s run down!” This meant she was tired and ready for bed, but next day she was re-charged like a power tool and full of life.
Cars often break down because their Manual is not followed. The Bible is our Maker’s Manual designed to re-charge our souls along life’s bumpy road. Guilt and worry are a frequent cause of breakdowns but Jesus can rescue us from both if we turn from what we know is wrong and ask Him to forgive us.
