A widow died in poverty but when her attic was cleared some special china was found that was auctioned for £10,000.
How tragic that this dear soul had lived in poverty when there was treasure up above. But sadder still there are many who have treasures on earth but none in heaven!
The Bible says, "We brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out." [1 Timothy 6:7]. This is why Jesus said, "Do not lay up treasures on earth - but lay up treasures in heaven." [Matthew 6:19,20]
To turn from your sins to Christ will bring pardon, peace and the power to lay up treasures in heaven by living a life that pleases God. [Proverbs 10:22].
