The Bible contains 810,697 words and the last one in this wonderful book is AMEN!
Amen is a dynamic little word that solemnly confirms the truth of what has been written. It can be translated, “So be it.”
The Apostle Peter reminds us that the Bible is full of “Exceedingly great and precious promises.” [2 Peter 1:4] And AMEN can be put after everyone of them! A year ago as I lay on a hospital bed with e-coli the killer bug I claimed this promise, “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God.” [Romans 8:28] I don’t know why God allowed me to get it, but I recovered and was amazed to find the horrible vertigo attacks I had endured for a long time had vanished. AMEN!
