A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME

“A little bird told me.”  This quaint expression comes from the Bible which says, “Do not curse the rich even in your bedroom, for a bird of the air may carry your voice.”  [Ecclesiastes 10:20]

Whllst visiting a widow her budgie Joey recited this poem:

Happy birthday to you, only one will not do,

Take Jesus as Saviour, and then you’ll have two!

In 1945 some birds of the air in the shape of RAF colleagues in India, told me that I must be born again.  The war soon ended but early in 1946 my war with God ended as I knelt by my bed and surrendered to Jesus Christ.  From that solemn moment I began to experience the peace of God.
