The people of the Grecian city of Philippi were proud of their Roman citizenship but the Apostle Paul wrote to them from prison to remind them that their real citizenship lay in Heaven. Because they were citizens of Heaven they should bring something of Heaven down to earth. Sadly there were two ladies who were always arguing. Paul told them they must bring the harmony of Heaven down to earth by adopting the humble mind of Christ and forgive one another.
Secondly, Christians should bring down Heaven’s joy to earth and rejoice in the Lord always. Thirdly, Christians should bring down Heaven’s peace by bringing everything to God in prayer. Finally, they should bring Heaven’s contentment down to earth by asking Christ for special strength. [Read Philippians 3:20-4:13]
