Good fishermen use the correct bait and keep out of sight. Satan fishes in the sea of humanity and hides his hellish hooks in a variety of attractive baits then conceals himself so well that those who get hooked don’t even believe he exists!
When Jesus was tempted by the devil to turn stones into bread He defeated Satan by thrusting him with this sword of Scripture. Jesus replied, “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God.” [Luke 4:4]
A young man swept off his feet by a seductive girl could have been saved from disaster if he had heeded this warning, “Her house is the way to hell going down to the chambers of death.” [Proverbs 7:27]
