SHOP SHUTS BUT PROFITS INCREASE

God meant Sunday to be a happy holiday every week so the 4th of His Ten Commandments says, “Remember the Sabbath Day (Sunday) to keep it holy.” (Do no work!) [Exodus 20:8,9]  He also said, “Those who honour Me I will honour.”  [1 Samuel 2:3]  Here’s a proof of this.

In 1935 George Jempson opened a food shop in Peasmarsh, near Rye, Sussex, which was never opened on a Sunday.   Successive grandsons have followed the same rule and today Jempson’s Superstore is the largest independent food store in the UK with a happy staff of 250 who all receive a good salary.   Managers Stephen and Andrew Jempson are keen to point out that costs like lighting, heating, transport and cleaning are lower and staff are delighted to be with their families on a Sunday.
