Situated in the small hamlet of Hopton the house commands marvellous views over Carsington Water which offers facilities for water sports, cycling, bird watching, fishing and walking. We are also within easy reach of all the attractions of Derbyshire and the Peak District.

Wirksworth, a historic lead mining town, is a few minutes' drive away and offers local shopping. Ashbourne (the Gateway to Dovedale) is six miles away and is ideal for shopping and browsing, having four supermarkets, speciality shops and a tourist information office. Matlock, Buxton and Bakewell are all within easy reach. Chatsworth is a short drive away and Crich Tramway village and Alton Towers are close by.
