Who made GOD?!

Sometimes people ask me, "Who made God?" To which I reply, "Nobody, because God is infinite," meaning that He has neither beginning nor end. As Sir Walter Ralegh quaintly put it, "There cannot be more infinities than one, for one of them would limit the other!" If people reject the Bible teaching about the One, Eternal, Just and Holy God who gave His Son to be our Saviour, they will stand condemned in the day of judgement, for, as the Apostle Paul wrote, "Since the creation of the world God's invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made ... so they are without excuse." [ Romans 1:20 ]

Modern science is now unlocking secrets of nature previously unknown. From the tiny worlds of nanotechnology to the gigantic worlds of astronomy, we can clearly see the hand of a brilliant Designer. Recently my wife and I were admiring the incredible beauty of a peacock with its green tail fully extended in fan formation to show off the bird's bright iridescent blue breast. These colours are not made from pigments but are produced by an optical effect that uses a transparent material close to the wavelength of visible light. An example of this is when oil from a car spreads out on a wet surface and produces iridescent blue and green colours. The peacock's feathers clearly display intentional optimum design for producing the brightest iridescent colours. This requires the thickness of the transparent film in the bird's feather to be accurate to one twenty thousandth of one millimetre! It's surely reasonable to conclude that the input of such precise information into the peacock's DNA molecule requires an 'Informer' who possesses infinite wisdom and knowledge. No wonder a friend of mine who has a doctorate in aerodynamics, worships God when he examines bird's feathers!
