It’s serious and stupid to try to prove that authentic historical events like the holocaust never happened. Sadly a minority are now even trying to tell us that the events we celebrate at Christmas never happened. They want us to believe that the coming of God into this world in the person of Jesus Christ is a myth! However all the evidence is stacked against this because no other historical event has ever been foretold hundreds of years before it happened! The proof is that today we have many Hebrew scrolls written centuries before Christ that describe in detail His birth, life, death and resurrection.

Instead of displaying a snowman on postage stamps it would be better to proclaim in some way the good tidings of great joy that a Saviour has been born. [ Luke 2:10 ] The politicians pathetic ASBOs cannot straighten out crooks, but A Saviour Born Omnipotent can! For nearly 2000 years the All-powerful Christ who conquered death has been conquering evil in the hearts of millions and the evidence for this is overwhelming.

In the Biblical language of Handel’s Christmas Oratorio ‘The Messiah’, it states that, “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way.” [ Isaiah 53:6 ] Just as sheep need a shepherd, so do we. Instead of going our own way we should be going our Owner’s way! The good news is that Jesus said, “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” [ John 10:11 ] When, like a lost sheep, we ask our Good Shepherd to pull us out of the Devil’s ditch. He will then begin to lead us in the paths of righteousness, and as Psalm 23 says, He will even be with us when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death!
