RULES

Life would be chaotic without rules. We couldn’t even play a game if there were no rules! The rules in the Highway Code ought to be essential reading for all road users. Speed restrictions may annoy us but we know they are for our good. Human rules have an intelligent origin. But they can only be understood by people who have a brain that can interpret the symbols that are used to convey invisible information. Information has no weight, if it had, then if we filled our brain with knowledge it would get heavier!

In nature, rules written into DNA molecules govern the working of every living thing. The human genome contains around 3 billion units of information that specify every single design feature in the human body. The DNA molecule that stores this information contains an astounding level of optimal design. A single copy of the human genome has a volume of only one three billionths of a cubit millimetre. Yet it can replicate itself with an amazing level of accuracy.

About 1000 BC David, The sweet psalmist of Israel [ 2 Samuel 23:1 ], wrote about how the Creator knew all about him before he was born! Notice how these words from one of his Psalms harmonise with modern science. “I will praise You for I am fearfully (Hebrew = reverently) and wonderfully made – Your eyes saw my substance (Hebrew = embryo) being yet unformed. And in Your book (DNA!) all my members were written.” [ Psalm 139:14-16 ] David could never have been so ahead of his time unless this information had been given to him as an inspired revelation from the timeless creator of the universe!

God has also given us the 10 Commandments which are His moral rules. Through abandoning these, the world has become more chaotic. Watch this space!
